The Regional Partnerships have been funded by DCSF (formally DfES) since 1999, with a main focus upon improving services and provision for children with special educational needs and disability.

From April 2006, the focus of the Partnerships has widened to support many children with additional needs or whose circumstances make them vulnerable, including those who are Looked After by the local authority.

The Partnership works through a range of stakeholders from statutory agencies, voluntary and community sector and regional Government Office.

This website hopes to inform you about our Partnership and specific work programmes which we lead on or support. A copy of the 2005 evaluation of the partnerships by NFER is available here. The work of the Partnerships has been praised.
